Temporary Power Market to Reach $6.4 billion by 2021
Annual growth of 10.6%
According to International Rental News the temporary power market is forecast to grow to $6.4 billion by 2021 at a staggering 10.6% annual growth rate.
A report from Research and Markets suggests that growth is driven partly from supply-side problems (old infrastructure in developed countries and lack of infrastructure in the developing world) and through increased demand in both the construction and oil & gas sectors. International events such as the World Cup in 2018 are also contributing to the rise in demand.
While the report includes temporary power generation from a range of engine/fuel types (diesel, gas, and others – dual fuel, hybrid and HFO), diesel generators account for the largest share of the market.
